PS3 PAL-markets delay: Is Sony telling the truth?

The following post is mainly a rant.
Sony last Thursday announced that the PS3 has been delayed to March, 2007 for the PAL markets (mainly Europe and Australia) as they have shortages on the blue LED’s needed for the blue-ray drives.

Somehow, I think Sony stuffed up, and it’s not with the “blue LED shortage”.

Note that this post is posted after the Apple event post (at 11:34PM AEST). It has been moved to an earlier time to draw focus on the Apple event. read more

Test post from Windows Live Writer

Microsoft, in their Windows Live brand, has released a blog publishing program (in beta) called Windows Live Writer.

This program, just like Office 2007, has support for any blog software(not just Microsoft’s Windows Live Spaces (formally MSN Spaces)).

Find out more at http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/

I might post a review later.

Would you like to pre-order a Wii?

At work, we have started pre-orders for the Nintendo Wii (launch date is late 2006, why hasn’t Nintendo announced a release date?). The funny thing is that we have to “Verify with the customer if they want to pre-order a Wii”.

Wii of course is pronunced Wee. Basically, the pre-order slips have created another of the on-going puns for the Wii.

Comment spam

This blog has had 42 spam comments posted to it since I started using WordPress.Thankfully, I don’t have to deal with it as WordPress comes with the Akismet Spam plugin which sorts out what’s spam from what’s not spam.Wordpress comes with the plugin by default and you just need to visit WordPress.com and get an account so you have a code to use it with.
