Sermons and blogs

Note the link has expired. The new address is http://www.smas.org.au.

For the evening service at my church (St Matthews Wanniassa), one of the ministers has started a blog.  Unlike some blogs, which are just personal blogs, business blogs or mixed blogs (for example), this blog is focused on the sermons that are held each week.

In this modern age, it’s one of the most useful things for a church to provide. Not everyone has the time to ask questions after the service or even can think of them straight away. This way, if they think of a question, it can be posted on the blog as a comment.

Also, a blog is one of the easiest ways for a church to start a common, dedicated area on sermons (even with church websites), especially with the ability to post what is coming up in a sermon and answers to questions.

WordPress 2.1 public release

The WordPress team has released the first public release of their next version, 2.1.

See the WordPress development blog for the information and head to http://wordpress.org/download/ to download.

This blog will be updated once the new skin has had all the bugs fixed and is tested with 2.1.

UPDATE: The blog has already been updated to 2.1. The new skin still needs bugs fixed.

New stuff on the blog

Links are hereFirstly, you may have noticed that the blog now has a links section. Over the coming months, I will try and add more links to various websites.Secondly, you may have also noticed a new style appearing (including what could be a new logo for thoughts). Is there a new design coming? have I decided to just do more than one design style? For the time being, I will just have those minor design changes appearing.
